Chihuahua, a meme coin and community-driven project, is now on Commonwealth. We’re looking forward to seeing how they use our all-in-one governance platform to grow their project.
Chihuahua: The Cosmos Meme Coin
Chihuahua is an eco-friendly Proof-of-Stake blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint consensus: the estimated yearly consumption of the Chihuahua blockchain is less than the daily energy consumed by Dogecoin or Ethereum. Chihuahua communicates with over 30 Cosmos chains via the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC), allowing the transfer of $HUAHUA assets to other chains in seconds.
Users who stake $HUAHUA receive rewards and additional rights, including the ability to vote on governance proposals and access a Community Pool with over 10 billion $HUAHUA. Chihuahua’s on-chain governance system allows holders to vote on proposals on a 1 to 1 per token vote basis.
Commonwealth: An All-In-One Platform for Decentralized Communities
Commonwealth accommodates various governance processes, making it so projects don’t need to be managed across multiple applications like Discord, Telegram, or other governance platforms. With our platform, projects can host their decentralized governance, community discussions, treasury management, and more all in one place. Since its inception, Commonwealth has become the governance tool and crypto-native community used by many of the top DeFi projects to discuss, vote on, and fund their initiatives.
With Chihuahua’s decision to join Commonwealth, the organization’s community operations will be fundamentally improved. They’ll have more functionality on a streamlined system, making their governance process seamless. Everything from discussions to crowdfunding to executing proposals can happen in one place—on Commonwealth.
Participate in Chihuahua’s Commonwealth Forum
Chihuahua’s platform on Commonwealth was built custom for their ecosystem and includes the following capabilities:
- Crypto-Native Token Forum: The Chihuahua community on Commonwealth comes with full forum capabilities including threaded discussions, upvotes, user profiles, and more.
- On-Chain Governance: The Chihuahua community will be able to discuss, vote on, and execute governance proposals all on-chain and with complete transparency through their new Commonwealth forum.
The Chihuahua Commonwealth forum is now live and actively used by the Chihuahua community. Users are encouraged to participate in the ongoing discussions on their new platform.
Recent discussions and proposals include:
- A suggestion to incentivize people to code for the Chihuahua blockchain, as many successful crypto projects (Ethereum, Terra-Luna, Atom, Dogecoin) have bounty to pay developers who work to help the blockchain. The idea is to set up a community fund that Chihuahua users who don’t know how to code can donate to in order to support the developers.
- A poll to determine the community spending proposal for incentivizing Osmosis liquidity. The community voted on whether or not to add Chihuahua incentives to CRBRUS-HUAHUA liquidity pool 658 on Osmosis. Some members worried this would cause more $HUAHUA to be in circulation. The community discussed a healthy ratio of CRBRUS:HUAHUA that would provide returns without flooding the market.
