Commonwealth is excited to spotlight another one of our top communities: Injective. As protocol built for the next generation of decentralized derivatives exchange, we’ve been excited to see their project grow on our platform.
Injective: Build Powerful Interchain DeFi Apps
Injective was started with the goal to create a more inclusive and free financial system through decentralization. The Injective Chain is the first layer-1 fully decentralized exchange protocol for perpetual swaps, futures, and spot trading, unlocking the full potential of borderless DeFi and decentralized derivatives. The protocol was built to be censorship-resistant, publicly verifiable, fully trustless, and front-running resistant, providing unrestricted and unprecedented ability to express diverse views in financial markets and empowering individuals to efficiently allocate capital.
Injective, unlike traditional exchanges, breaks down barriers of entry to the crypto industry by offering an exchange that is a decentralized public utility. The protocol is differentiated from other exchanges by the fact that everything on it is open and free to use. In addition, Injective created a model that rewards relayers in their network for sourcing liquidity. This gives exchanges providers an incentive to better serve users, as they must compete to provide the best user experience. Injective users receive not only a positive experience through the protocol, but unprecedented access to the decentralized financial markets.
Injective is backed by some of the largest funds and institutions, including Binance, Pantera Capital, Hashed, BlockTower Capital, and more. To learn more about their protocol, visit the Injective website or check them out on Twitter, Telegram, and Discord.
Commonwealth: Where Decentralized Communities Come to Grow
Commonwealth is the governance tool and crypto-native community used by many of the top DeFi projects to discuss, vote on, and fund their initiatives. We accommodate various governance processes so projects don’t need to be managed across multiple platforms like Discord, Telegram, or other governance systems. This allows decentralized governance, community discussions, treasury management, and more to happen all on Commonwealth.
Ever since Injective joined Commonwealth, the organization’s community operations have been fundamentally improved. Their governance process is now seamless, with everything from discussions to crowdfunding to executing proposals happening in one place. This has given Injective more functionality on a streamlined system.
Participate in Injective’s Commonwealth Forum
Injective’s platform on Commonwealth was built custom for their ecosystem and includes the following capabilities:
- Crypto-Native Token Forum: The Injective community on Commonwealth comes with full forum capabilities including threaded discussions, upvotes, user profiles, and more.
- On-Chain Governance: The Injective community can discuss, vote on, and execute governance proposals all on-chain and with complete transparency through their custom Commonwealth forum.
The Injective Commonwealth forum is now live and actively used by the Injective community. Users are encouraged to participate in the ongoing discussions on their new platform.
Recent discussions and proposals include:
- A suggestion to remove addresses with malicious order behaviors harming normal users in order to create a healthier trading environment for the Injective community.
- A discussion about adjusting the auction period from 7 days (or a weekly auction) to a daily auction. This change would make the auction more accessible to the retail, but the community wanted to create a space for discussion before turning it into an official proposal. Several community members suggested that no change is needed at the moment, as reducing the auction period reduces hype and creates too much volume to be sustainable.
